WHAT SNAKE IS THAT?

THE FAUNA CATCHER

Gympie | Cooloola | Sunshine Coast

We’re lucky to have a diverse range of snake species in southeast Queensland, all of which are critical to maintaining a healthy ecosystem. This page contains images of some of the more common species you may encounter in our area.

Remember, like all animals, snakes may attempt to inflict a bite in self-defence if threatened or provoked. Whether they’re venomous or not, it’s always best to keep a respectful distance. If you have concerns about any snake, contact a local snake catcher.
